I prefer Photoshop... mostly because I can't be fucked to learn to use another vector program.

Looks nice! Although I, too, prefer Photoshop for making my vectors ;)

How does it benefit you to make them in illustrator over photoshop other than being able to save *.SVG files and working on a vector canvas?

Oh right I forgot about that ^^ I have CS3 and I don't think that version of AI has the line width tool :(
